How To Start Historic Run for a New Case for Plume Calculations Log on to the machine and open an xterm. Change into the OMEGA operations directory: '% cd /opt/ops/' Start xomega: '% xomega' Click on Case & Run Manager. Click on Create New Case. Enter the id of your new case. Then click Create. Click on Create New Run. Delete the default text and input your start time in full format. For example if your run is to start on March 26, 2000, enter "2000032600". Then click on Create. On the Case & Run Manager dialog click on OK. Click on Set Temporal Domain. Adjust all Start and End values to match the desired times of your run. Then click OK. Click on Set Spatial Domain. On the Map Controls dialog use the Zoom/UnZoom buttons and the Lon & Lat displays to locate the approximate position of your new grid. When you have the general area of your case click on Domain Region. On the Drawing Area hold down the first mouse button and outline your intended grid bounds. Release the mouse button when you are done. If needed, adjust the Parameters on the Set Spatial Domain dialog. Repeat the previous steps if more regions are needed. Then click OK. Click on Call Grid Generator. Click on Set Meteorology Data. If needed, adjust the Gridded Weather Model, and Observation menus to match your operational met feeds. Then click OK. Click on Fetch Met. Click on Prep Met. Click on Set ADM Sources. If needed, switch Diffusion Mode. On the Map Controls dialog use the Zoom/UnZoom buttons and the Lon & Lat displays to locate the approximate position of your your source. When you have the general area of your case click on ADM Point. On the Drawing Area click once to place your plume source. If needed, adjust the ADM Source Parameters. Then click OK. Click on Set Model Parameters. If needed, adjust any of the Parameters. Then click OK. Click on Operations Manager. Select Single Run. Then click on OK. Click on Quit XOMEGA END
