Operations Manager Once all preliminary setup steps are complete the simulation is ready to run. The next decision is how and when to run the model. The Operations Manager dialog box lets you choose between running the model right away, or running it at a scheduled time each day. The dialog consists of two sections: Operation Mode and Action Buttons. Operation Mode Single Run - Select this option button to run the model right away. Daily Run - Select this option button to run the model every day. Time of Day - This menu holds the hour at which to start the model when called via cron. Action Buttons Defaults - This button will reset the controls to the default values. OK - The behavior of this button depends on which Operation Mode is selected. If Single Run is selected, then a Calling OMEGA Model dialog will pop up. If Daily Run is selected, then an operations table file will be written in the case/ directory, and an entry will be added to your crontab file. Cancel - This button will decline the Operation Mode selection, reset the values to default, and close the dialog box. There is no confirmation process. Help - This button will open the Help dialog and load this section. Calling OMEGA Model If you click on OK with the Operational Mode set to Single Run, then this small dialog box pops up. The dialog consists of two sections: Status Message and a row of Action Buttons. Status Message This is a simple line of text with the current status of the external program. The model iteration number and simulation time are shown. As the model runs these values are updated every few seconds. Action Buttons Pause - This button will pause the currently running external process. When clicked the label will change to resume, the blinking icon will stop, and the Status Message will show that the process is paused. The continue the process click on Resume. Cancel - When the external process is running this button will be inactive. When the process is paused this button will be active. Clicking on Cancel will cancel the operation, and close the Grid Generator dialog. Help - When the external process is running this button will be inactive. When the process is paused this button will be active. This button will open the Help dialog and load this section. OMEGA Model Warning This dialog box is popped up when you try to run the Model and a valid set of output files already exists. The top part of the dialog contains the warning message. The bottom part has a row of three action buttons: Overwrite - This button will start the Model. All existing output files will be overwritten as the new files are made. Proceed - This button will accept the existing files. Cancel - This button will decline the existing files. END Operations Manager
